Sheriff Matt Deal and his family have just moved to Cut Bank, Montana, but he quickly discovers that the small town has a dark history of corruption and murder. The trail leads back to the powerful family that runs the town, but Matt is determined to restore Cut Bank to its former peace and quiet.

I was introduced to author Stephen Bentley's work with his first book, "UnderCover, Inside Operation Julie", a true story about his personal crime fighting experiences. Montana is part of a series about the fictional Matt Deal. With its suspenseful plot and vivid descriptions of the problems in Cut Bank, Montana, this book kept me hooked from the start.

I received an advance reader copy of this book and found it to be just as intriguing as Bentley's real-life story. The chapters are full of action and suspense, and I couldn't put it down until I finished the last page. In fact, I ordered the published copy for my Kindle library as well.
